Information for Local Authorities

Here at Norton Colllege, we have the facilities and expertise to help students that are not mentally or emotionally equipped to succeed in mainstream education.

We can respond immediately to a referral and can put tailored learning packaged together without delay so that students will begin to benefit straight away.

    What We Offer

Norton College's 70,000 square feet of fully refurbished office and factory space has been converted into a bespoke learning environment to provide outstanding academic and vocational facilities for our students.

Our bespoke learning packages are tailored to the individual needs of each student to encourage and motivate them and, ultimately, to improve their outcomes.

We also offer outreach packages to support local schools in helping individual students successfully ease back into mainstream schools.

  • Outcomes and evidence

    Outcomes and Evidence

Our aims for students are higher than just attending and completing school: we want to achieve positive outcomes for every single student. Our methods have been carefully developed based on the latest research to prepare young people for work. By giving students the emotional, practical and purposeful skills they need, we aim to improve young people's opportunities so they can build a better future for themselves.

At our first Ofsted inspection in February 2012, Norton College was rated "GOOD". We can consider this to be an excellent result for a new school such as ours.

  • Transport Arrangements

    Transport Arrangements

Our Home-School-Home-Plus transport service guarantees attendance by making sure students are safely picked up from home and dropped off after school every single day. As well as providing a valuable service for parents, and playing an important role in preparing the student for a day of learning en route, the service also provides a cost-effective and convenient solution for Local Authorities.

“Leaders have created a strong culture of shared responsibility for protecting pupils. Consequently pupils are safe and well supported. The safeguarding policy and practice are extremely robust and meet government requirements.”
