Ofsted Report

We are proud to share with you the highlights of our most recent Ofsted inspection in October 2014 where we were described as:-

‘A Safe, Sound and Successful School’.

The College has continued to build on positive comments in the 2012 Ofsted inspection where we were rated ʻGOODʼ in every aspect of our work.

This is a real achievement as it confirms the effectiveness of our philosophy and gives us the opportunity for continued improvement on behalf of the students.

The following are some of the very positive comments comments about Norton College are taken from the Ofsted report :

  • Students conduct themselves well and behaviour is Good.
  • Staff guide students successfully and they learn the best ways to work with others.
  • Students feel safe in the college and know how to keep themselves safe.
  • Staff care for the students and form very positive relationships with them.
  • A valuable partnership with parents is created because the Headteacher and his staff welcome students from the minute they arrive and contact parents to share each students successes.
