KS3 & KS4 are working on several art projects this year.

This term, some students are learning to use our brand-new digital drawing pads and our younger/newer students are starting to work with the lightbox!

The work produced so far has been outstanding and we will shortly be making a new display board at college to showcase the pieces created.

Many students, during their time at Norton College Tewkesbury, can achieve a BTEC qualification in Art if they wish to do so. We are also looking into coding as many new students are keen to learn!

Alongside this, every term, the art room explores a new artist of the term and students create work in the style of the artist. This term, students are researching Jean Michel Basquiat – he’s an African-American artist who creates street art, influenced by tribal art. We have chosen to look in Basquiat to celebrate Black History Month.
