This November, our school proudly took part in Anti-Bullying Week, a national campaign that encourages everyone to stand together against bullying and promote kindness. The theme this year was “Make a Noise About Bullying”, reminding us that silence allows bullying to continue, but speaking up and supporting one another can make a real difference.
Throughout the week, pupils engaged in a variety of activities designed to highlight the importance of respect, empathy, and celebrating differences:
The week was not only about raising awareness but also about empowering pupils to take action. Discussions in class highlighted how small acts of kindness—like checking in on a friend, offering a smile, or including someone in a game—can have a big impact. Pupils shared their own ideas on how to make our school a safe and supportive place for everyone.
By the end of the week, pupils had a stronger understanding of how bullying can affect individuals and communities, and how each of us has a role to play in preventing it. Most importantly, they recognised that kindness is powerful: it costs nothing, but it can change someone’s day.
Together, we are building a culture where respect and kindness are at the heart of everything we do.
