Halloween Treats

Pumpkin Pizzas

As half term approaches and Halloween is nearly here, students have been developing their culinary skills in our kitchen with some festive treats. Using a recipe from Tesco magazine, Helen worked with several pupils to make some pumpkin pizzas.  Not only did they look cool, they also smelt and tasted lovely.  These lovely pizza pumpkins are the handiwork of KD, who likes particular food but is developing his confidence in cooking it for himself.

Halloween Cake

Last week we had one of our pupils TM bake and decorate this amazing cake. I might be biased, but I think its brillant and could see this being sold in a shop. TM was so engrossed and determined to finish her cake that she stayed behind when all the other pupils had gone home.

We are very lucky at Norton College Tewkesbury as we have a full professional kitchen in the heart of the College. This allows us to work with the pupils in developing their independence skills including budgeting; following recipes and cooking whilst working towards a BTEC qualification.
