Norton College Students Explore Opportunities at Worcestershire ‘Life Beyond School’ Event

Students from Norton College Worcester recently attended the Worcestershire Life Beyond School event at Sixways Stadium, where they had the opportunity to explore a wide range of post-16 and post-college pathways.

The event brought together colleges, training providers, apprenticeship organisations, local authorities, careers hubs, employers and support agencies, all under one roof. This provided students with a valuable opportunity to gain first-hand information about the many routes available to them as they begin to consider their next steps beyond education.

Throughout the session, students engaged positively with exhibitors, asking questions about courses, qualifications, apprenticeships, employment opportunities and the support available to help them achieve their future goals. Many students took the opportunity to discuss specific career interests and learn more about the skills and qualifications required within different industries.

The event also enabled students to develop their confidence in speaking with professionals, gathering information and exploring the wide range of opportunities available within Worcestershire and beyond.

Staff were pleased to see students representing Norton College so positively, with maturity and enthusiasm throughout the visit. The information, advice and guidance obtained, by interacting directly with providers and employers during the event, will support students as they continue to develop their aspirations and prepare for life beyond school.
